How Long Does Healing Take?
The full healing process for powder brows typically takes about 6 weeks. During this time, your skin will go through several natural stages, including peeling, fading, and settling.
Once healed, your ombré powder brows will appear about 30–40% lighter than they looked immediately after your appointment. This softening is completely normal and is what gives powder brows their natural, makeup-like finish.
Healing Timeline: Week-by-Week
Days 1–2: Fresh & Bold
Your brows will appear darker and more sharply defined. This is temporary—pigment always looks more intense before healing begins.
Days 3–7: Scabbing & Peeling
You may notice some scabbing, dryness, or flaking. It’s important not to scratch or pick at your brows—this can affect how pigment heals in the skin.
Days 8–14: Patchy & Faded
This is the “ghosting” phase, where brows may look patchy or too light. This is also normal! The pigment is still settling beneath the skin’s surface.
Weeks 3–6: Color Returns & Softens
As your skin regenerates, the pigment will resurface and soften into its final color. By week 6, you’ll see the true healed result.
What Happens After 6 Weeks?
At the 6-week mark, your brows are fully healed, and this is the best time to evaluate your results. If you’d like any adjustments to the shape, color, or density, we can schedule a touch-up session to refine your look.
